Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, mash bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in melted butter.
Mix in sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla.
Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture, then add flour. Stir until just combined.
Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if desired.
Pour batter into loaf pan and bake for 50–60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool slightly, slice, and enjoy warm!
