Reese’s Peanut Butter Earthquake Cake -Don’t Lose This!!!
Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Grease a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions and pour into the prepared 9×13-inch baking dish; set aside (do not bake yet).
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and cream cheese together with an electric mixer until smooth (at first it will look “globby” but keep beating until it is smooth and creamy).
Add the peanut butter and vanilla extract and beat until smooth.
Add one cup of powdered sugar at a time to bowl and mixing well until fully incorporated and mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Scoop the peanut butter mixture on top of the unbaked chocolate cake batter. Sprinkle with the semi-sweet chocolate chips and peanut butter cups over top of the peanut butter layer.
Bake the cake for 45-55 minutes or until the center of the cake is set. Cool slightly before serving.
