no-knead garlic bread

Preparation:

1️⃣ Evening: In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, sugar, yeast, water, and garlic. The mixture will be loose and sticky – that’s how it should be. Cover with plastic wrap or a cloth and let rise at room temperature for 12-18 hours. The dough will rise and bubble.

2️⃣ In the morning or after the rising time: Preheat the oven to 230°C (top and bottom heat). If you have a cast-iron pot, place it inside to heat up (or use an oven-safe dish with a lid).

3️⃣ Dust the counter with flour and gently turn the dough out onto it. Do not knead – just shape it into a rough loaf. Let it rest for 30 minutes.

4️⃣ Carefully place the dough in a preheated baking dish (you can line it with parchment paper). Brush the top with olive oil and garlic and sprinkle with rosemary.

5️⃣ Bake covered for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and crispy.

6️⃣ Remove, let cool, and… serve with butter, cheese, or simply nothing – this bread speaks for itself!
