Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Season & Sear

Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels—this ensures crispy skin. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place chicken skin-side down and sear for 5–7 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook another 5 minutes.

2. Make the Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar until smooth. This is the magic that gives the chicken its sticky, glossy finish.

3. Glaze & Cook

Pour the sauce into the skillet with the chicken. Lower heat to medium, cover, and let it simmer for 10–12 minutes until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

4. Thicken (Optional)

If you want a thicker glaze, stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer uncovered for 1–2 minutes until the sauce coats the chicken beautifully.

5. Serve & Enjoy

Plate the chicken, spoon the glaze over the top, and garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions. Serve with rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

🍴 Serving Tips

  • Serve with steamed jasmine rice to soak up the extra glaze.

  • Pair with roasted broccoli or green beans for a complete meal.

  • For a spicy twist, add chili flakes or a spoon of sriracha to the sauce.
