Air Fryer Rotisserie Chicken Recipe

 

  • Brush olive oil over the entire chicken, including the cavity of the chicken. Then sprinkle the chicken with the chicken rub or your favorite seasoning. Be sure to also season the inside of the chicken.
  • Place the seasoned chicken on the rotisserie rack. Place in the air fryer oven on the rotisserie rack. Turn the dial to rotisserie and the temperature at 375°F/190°F and air fry for 60 minutes.
  • If you prefer to not use the rotisserie method, place the chicken in the wire basket on the second rack in the air fryer oven, press air fryer, temperature to 375°F/190°C and time 60 minutes. You will not need to turn the chicken as the air flows all around it.
  • Check the internal temperature after 60 minutes, the temperature of the chicken should be 165°F/190°F when cooked through
  • Remove the chicken roast from the air fryer basket and let rest on a cutting board for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Note 1: In lieu of the chicken rub, use ½ teaspoon thyme, ½ teaspoon paprika, ¼ teaspoon garlic powder, ¼ teaspoon onion powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Or any seasoning you prefer.
