4. Unilateral rhinitis or runny nose
Because early symptoms can be easily confused with those of common illnesses, early detection of this cancer can be challenging. Unilateral rhinitis or a runny nose, often confused with sinusitis or allergies, can be a warning sign, especially if accompanied by nosebleeds.
5. Tinnitus or hearing loss in one ear
A feeling of fullness in the ear, persistent ringing in the ears (tinnitus), or unexplained hearing loss in one ear may indicate nasopharyngeal cancer, especially in the absence of an ear infection.
6. Discharge or bleeding from the ear
In some cases, the cancer can spread, causing blood or pus to drain from the ear. This is a tumor that invades the ear canal or middle ear, which can lead to infection and hearing loss.
7. Facial numbness
As the tumor grows, it can compress facial nerves, causing numbness or weakness on one side of the face. This can make it difficult to control facial muscles, express emotions, or perform daily activities.
Important:
If any of these symptoms persist, consult a doctor immediately for a diagnosis. Early detection significantly improves treatment outcomes.
